What We Do Best

EMMAO was founded in 2002 by Julie & Sean Hutton, operating in school halls & Community Centres in Shepshed & Coalville in Leicestershire,

We soon added a 3rd Location in Loughbororough, teaching Korean Karate.

After adding Richard Moon to the staff, we opened our first full time academy on Granby Street Loughbororough in 2012- ‘Loughborough Martial Arts Education Centre’ became home to East Midlands Karate & 360 MMA.

A 2nd Full time academy ‘Long Eaton Family Martial Arts Academy’ on Derby Road, Long Eaton was opened, led by Dawn O’Connell & Tracy Brown in 2012

360 Boxing Loughbororough then followed in 2014 Led by Boxing Champ ‘Luke Wortley’ & Dan Hutton.

Coalville & Ashby Martial Arts followed in 2018 led by Gary Root.

Our Schools boast a rich Competition Pedigree in a variety of styles now, with national Boxing titles, MMA competitors in top promotions such as ‘Cage Warriors’ & 2 Junior Open World Champions in Freestyle Taekwondo, the future is bright for our association.

To Celebrate our proud history, we launched the East Midlands Martial Arts Org Hall of Fame in 2019 to commemorate 10 years of active training in any of our member schools.
